I try to keep a bottle of this Asian-inspired peanut sauce in the fridge. It goes with most Asian-inspired dishes. This recipe has a thickish sauce, and you can easily modify depending on use. I can add a bit of soy sauce and water if I want to add a bit of moisture and taste to rice, but keep it as is for salads. You can add hot sauce too for a bit of spice. In this video, I use it in a tofu burrito.
Coconut Milk
I used to not put coconut milk on my sauce, but miso paste and water. I learned about the coconut milk from a video I saw online. It works well. But if you don’t have it, water and brown miso paste or even vegetable bouillon works too. You do need to dissolve both properly.
Veggies and Peanut Sauce
S few veggies that go well with peanut sauce:
- shredded cabbage
- mung bean sprouts
- shredded carrots
- finely chopped celery
- radish
