Yoga Strength Flow: Body Weight + Dumbbells

This 10 minute workout combines the release I feel from yoga and also the resistance of weights. I know it’s not always popular to use weights during yoga, but it’s great when I want a quick session. In the video, I used 5 and 10 lbs.

Each move is 40s + 20s rest.

The Sequence

  1. Chair to forward fold (10x)

  2. Chair shoulder press + alt lunge shoulder press (8x chair & 4x each side)

  3. Down dog to knees chest chin (8x)

  4. Down dog + pushups + alt toe taps + weights (6x pushups & 3x each side for toe tap)

  5. Triangle to revolve + weights side a (8x) LIGHT weights

  6. Triangle to revolve + weights side b (8x) LIGHT weights

  7. Downdog + alt pigeon (10x)

  8. Alt bear rows (28x)

  9. Seated alt leg raises with overhead weights (34x)

  10. Forward fold pulses (enjoy the stretch)
