Based on customer reviews, one common complain people have against soft yoga pants is piling. This is when tiny fuzzball appear on textile after wear and tear. Some complain that they see piling a week after their first wear.
I’ve never had piling problems with yoga pants, either from Lululemon or other similarly priced brands when they are new. I usually wear my pants twice a week and practice heated and non-heated yoga. My yoga pants last anywhere from 2-3 years.
The Tip: Mesh Bags
Aside from following recommended care instructions, I wash all my yoga clothes in mesh bags.
*Note that I don’t really wear my pants for lounging or sports activity.
