Asparagus and Mushroom Pasta in Tahini Cream Sauce

Ingredients
1 16oz. pasta (I used fusilli in the video)
1 garlic head minced
1 bunch asparagus
1 box 8oz. mushrooms
1 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp mustard powder
1 cup pasta water
1/2 cup tahini
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
Directions
Cook pasta. I’m using a day-old pasta in the video.
Chop all the veggies. Make sure the asparagus are chopped small, 1/2 inch or less.
Heat oil in a pan and add garlic then asparagus and salt. Cover and let the asparagus cook for 5 minutes.
I usually test one to see if the asparagus is soft, and then I add the mushrooms, onion and mustard powder. Cover again and cook for another 5 minutes.
Stir in the tahini, nutritional yeast, and pasta water. When the cream is mixed in with the veggies, add the pasta.
Notes
Using tahini is a great way to add more fiber and protein to your pasta sauce.
