Side Plank Variations

These are the moves I started doing to improve my side plank. It starts with modifications and then intensify with crunches + weights. It took a few months to build up. I do the last move every 2 weeks to check my progress. Currently, for the 5th move, the most I can do currently in a row is 6x with 5 lbs.

The Moves

  1. Side plank crunches on the knee + weights

  2. Side plank with staggered feet crunches + weights

  3. Side plank with staggered feet knee bends + weights

  4. Side plank holds. Currently at 30s but the goal is to get to a minute

  5. Side plank with toe taps + weights
